A view of the ridge from Khandbari (a few hours north of Tumlingtar). The ridge is seasonally snow covered, usually between mid to late November and March. Travel at these times, though very beautiful, is most difficult. Beyond Goru Jure, it can be extremely dangerous due to the steep terrain and sometimes poor visibility. Close inspection of this photo reveals the small white houses on the next lower ridge over.
